Provincial Nomination

An individual can enjoy a speedy visa application process through certain Provincial Nomination Programs (PNP). The individual is required to have the necessary skills, education, work experience and language requirements for various skilled or unskilled jobs. This option is a fantastic option to fast track your Canadian permanent residency so long as the applicant is interested in settling in a particular province.

The Provincial Nomination Programs were introduced to fast-track applications for permanent residency as well as welcoming newcomers more efficiently to their respective region. Every single Provincial Nomination Program is customized to the province/territory’s specific needs and is aimed to select nominees who will be able to effectively contribute to the local economy.

Each Canadian province or territory has their own requirements and they nominate individuals for immigration to their province respectively.

The following Canadian provinces are currently participating in the PNP initiative.

Before submitting an immigration application, a nominee must first receive a Provincial Nomination Certificate from the respective province or territory. Once an individual has been successfully nominated, the individual must then complete a separate application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada in order to process a Permanent Resident Visa. It is important to note that processing times for each province or territory varies. Please note that the province of Quebec does not participate in the Provincial Nomination Program.
